I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. 11, 9, 6 and 2. I have been married to my guy for 13 years. He is great and so supportive of my running life. He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

Just getting back at it after having baby #5. She's a sweetheart! She was born May 28th. Thought I should come back to the blog to track my progress.

I wasn't as slow as I thought I might be but have a LONG way to go. I'm excited for the challenge!

Ran to main street and back. Starting to feel a bit stronger. I've been doing more strength training and that seems to help me to recovery from having baby quicker.

6 weeks post partum

I struggled a bit today. I was tired and legs were sore from dead lifts, donkey kicks, and fire hydrants yesterday.

Don't fear the shorts, you should be proud. Overheating is the price for vanity. ;)

Baby girl is sleeping so good that it makes it a bit easier to run. Husband was home this morning so I was able to enjoy the run a bit more. Usually its my 14 yr old watching the babe and I always feel in a rush to get home.

Ran an extra mile this morning and that extra mile was tough. I had to keep telling myself I have run much worse miles at the end of marathons. :)

The end of every marathon is a horrifying mixture of discomfort, exhaustion, dehydration and soreness.
