I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. 11, 9, 6 and 2. I have been married to my guy for 13 years. He is great and so supportive of my running life. He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

He first was sent to Ghana but contracted malaria and was too ill so he had to come home for 6 months before being able to continue. He was sent back out to Texas. So 2.5 years later he is home and single.  He is 24 and 6'3. Super cute!!!!!

You just have to do your best. If they beat you, you just humble yourself and congratulate them. One time I did a half marathon in Payson with Camille from the blog. I SOOO didn't want her to beat me. But I crashed so hard after this major hill. I had a good lead on her so from then on it was just - don't let Camille pass you. Don't let Camille pass you. I ended up beating her by only a minute and it was the worst time on a half marathon I've ever had.

It is not her I am concerned about really it is just if she beats me everyone will have something to say about it.(Ward people, her husband and friends) I should be flatter that I am the measuring stick but it feels like a lot of pressure right now. YOu are totally right though I can't really worry about her and I truly do want her to run her best! Thanks for the advice burt it actually was helpful :)

You're welcome. Here's another story. You know how I go running sometimes in Las Sendas Thursday nights? Well, one of the gals I run with, Liz, is now in my old ward. So it's fun to talk to her and see how everyone is doing. Anyway, there was another lady in my ward that would always win the stake Turkey Trot. So, the bishop was telling everyone how she was going to win and blah blah blah. Well, of course Liz ended up winning which shut the bishop up. And Liz felt bad because she beat the lady that was "supposed" to win. I told her not to worry about it because for two years after I moved out of the stake I came back and ran the turkey trot and won it both times.

It's cool that your brother's back. He sounds hunky.
