Personal:

I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. 11, 9, 6 and 2. I have been married to my guy for 13 years. He is great and so supportive of my running life. He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

Ran to the beach with Renea today. We alternated between an easier mile to a a "pushing it" pace mile.

I felt really good today. It goes to show me that I need to eat better. I have been eating better this week and I feel so much better.

You had some super fast miles there Britta!!

I really wish that our eating habits didn't affect our running ... but they really do, huh?

Nice job today!

Great miles, Britta! Glad to hear you are feeling better. How is the depression?

From britta on Wed, Apr 15, 2009 at 15:23:02 from 66.74.232.169

Teena, Thanks!

Maurine, Depression is better and I think it is totally linked to bad eating habits. I have been eating much healthier this week and I feel I can cope with life a bit better. How are you?

Britta,

I am doing a lot better than this weekend. However, I need to be very careful and keep busy tonight because April 15th is an emotional day for me.

I used to love it because it signalled the end of tax season and my (then) husband would drop from working 100+ hours a week to 60 hours a week. However, 17 years ago today - after spending the night in the hospital hemmorhaging and having my third miscarriage, I came home and my husband announced that 'he had decided' we were not going to have any more kids - end of discussion.

Luckily, a couple of books I ordered came in the mail today and I will read them tonight and keep my mind busy.

Oh - can you please take the snow and rain away. :)

Maurine,

I am sorry! I have had two miscarriages. They are so tuff.

Can I ask how long you were married for and how long you have been divorced? Read your books cuddled up on a nice sofa!

My mom does taxes. She is so excited for this week to end.

Of course you can ask! Our divorce was final about one month before our 21st wedding anniversary would have occurred. Unfortunately - my marriage started ending about 18 years prior to that. I have been divorced for 2 1/2 years. (Turns out the divorce was final right before the day our daughter got married and we didn't even know it :) )

Look at those miles in the 7's---and the easy miles were fast, too! Awesome work out.
