Personal:

I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. 11, 9, 6 and 2. I have been married to my guy for 13 years. He is great and so supportive of my running life. He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

Ran along Hutington beach today. I saw the same homeless guy we saw last night when our family went for a walk. It eats me up inside to see people like that. I said a little prayer in my heart for him when I ran past. He must have had a hard life to get him to where he is today.

I couldn't figure out why I was running a 8:00 pace for the first half of my run and it felt so very easy. Then I turned around to come home. I was running with the wind and down hill on the way out and uphill and against wind on the way back. I felt like a ROCKET SCIENTIST to figure that one out.

Blessing... My red running shorts. They make me look good whether I am 125 or 135 lbs. I will not mention which one I am currently.

You are seriously so great!!!

When you find a pair of shorts you like you should buy at least a dozen!! :)

Now you need a Red Hot Chicks shirt to go with those red shorts.

Do you ever take food to the homeless on your runs?

That is so interesting you asked. Just last night while we were at the beach my husband and I were talking about making extra for sunday dinners and taking food with us for walks after dinner.

In the morning I always run past several homeless who are usually still asleep. They sleep on top of the benches with all there things underneath.

I will have to think about taking food to them when I run. That is a great suggestion.

Be careful Britta. Most homeless people are very nice, but many are drug users and you are DANG cute in your red running shorts :)

GREAT run! I love the fast runs and feel so dejected when I turn the other direction and suddenly notice the head wind ;)
