Personal:

I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. 11, 9, 6 and 2. I have been married to my guy for 13 years. He is great and so supportive of my running life. He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

Tell your husband great job. I can't even do half that distance in half that time. And way to be supermom today. Kelli and Merri also ran with their kids.

Britta, I would've thought you were talking about the HB 5K, but I guess not since your husband did a 10K. I did the HB 5K myself. Glad to find another local on here. :)

That's so fun, I love reading about all the parents on here that are helping their kids get into running. It's so good for them!

Congrats to your husband, that's a great time. And glad to see you back on the bloggo- :)

that's cool you ran w/ your 7 year old. I just signed my 5 year old up for a 1 mile race on the 24th.

Look at your hubby go!! And great job to your son! Did he have fun?

From Britta on Wed, Jul 08, 2009 at 00:10:26 from 72.130.108.181

Shimelle,

I have been doing pretty well. I have lagged off on the running since my marathon but I have still been working out. My husband and I are going to Hawaii in August so I have had to work on the swimsuit body. My husband is in super good shape so I have to TRY to look like I belong with him. :)

Kelli,

My son did have fun. Right after finishing he asked "can I do the 10k next year?"

He was walking at the end and the first 10ker passed us. (it was a two loop course for the 10k people.) I told him dad should be coming up soon and warned him dad might pass us. That is all it took for him to book it to the finish line. He did not want his dad passing him.
