I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. 11, 9, 6 and 2. I have been married to my guy for 13 years. He is great and so supportive of my running life. He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

It did not feel easy today!!! I was so mad when my alarm went off. I did not want to get out of bed, but I did!!!

Blessing... FHE. Dallin had to get a cavity filled yesterday so I told him if he was brave he got to plan FHE. He did awsome! So we first went to the pet store to look at all the puppies. Then came home and I had gotten his favorite ice cream pops for dessert and we played WAR. It was a fun family night.

I read your comment on Michelle's blog, I know Valerie G. I ran with her years ago. She is super nice.

josse, Your right she is super nice. Did you run with her at BYU?

From josse on Tue, Apr 28, 2009 at 17:37:07 from 70.192.229.242

No after, we both ran with the same running group the Sojouerners.

Getting up is definitely the hardest part!! Good job though and nice miles!! Hope you are well. Did you put in for St. George then???

From britta on Wed, Apr 29, 2009 at 02:10:34 from 66.74.232.169

No I did not put in for St. George. I have decided to not do it this year. I am happy about my decision. I just need a break. I really haven't given myself one since SGM 08. I am looking forward to a training free summer. Don't worry I will still be out running though.

My husband and are planning a trip to Hawaii in Aug. So I am planning on doing that Jillian Michaels 30 day shred program. I am looking foward to a change of pace.

Hope you are doing good today!

SHRED away Britta!!!

I love your blessings. I was watching a show the other night and it was about a little girl who was dying (she was 6) and it broke my heart. I was sobbing! Then I thought of your blessing and I thought, "Man, i am so thankful for healthy kids!!!"

Sounds great Britta! I think it's awesome that you and your hubby can talk through things like that and make decisions. You are right, you will love your summer. I completely understand how hard and time consuming a marathon can be in life. And I know you will still be out running.

I want to go to Hawaii, or anywhere with my hubby at this point! I am jealous!! I really feel like I need a vacation but time does not permit for us right now (I think that makes me want it all the more). But you deserve it and will have so much fun. Let me know about this Shred in 30. I want to know how it goes!! Talk to you soon cute girl :)

Kelli and Kellie,

We are inviting friends to go with us so you and your husbands are both invited. If either of you are interested PM me and I will email you more details.

We just went to Hawaii and loved it!!!!! What island are you planning on going? There is just something different about Hawaii. You are going to have so much fun. I think everyone should take time off running, at least serious training and enjoy the little things in life once in a while. Usually injury forces us to do so.

Josse,

We are going to Kaui! We have only been there once but loved it so much we have to go back. I am looking forward to switching gears workout wise for awhile. It took me some time to make this choice though because I really did not want to give up SGM but it is the right choice for me and my family right now.

From josse on Thu, Apr 30, 2009 at 14:29:26 from 75.216.172.98

Good for you, it is hard to put running on the back burner. But I think it is a must do once in a while. We get pretty crazy with our training and tend to forget the important stuff. I have heard great things about Kaui, but I have heard great things with all the islands. You can't go wrong with Hawaii.

Thanks so much Josse.
