Personal:

I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. 11, 9, 6 and 2. I have been married to my guy for 13 years. He is great and so supportive of my running life. He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

I didn't want to get up early this morning so.. I didn't!! My running partner is camping so I went all alone. It was actually nice to have my thoughts to myself today. I started at 2:30 PM. My body was wondering what was going on when I started.

Started in Huntington Beach and ran into Newport Beach. It is spring break and Newport was the hot spot today. It was quite entertaining while I was running today.

It was nice to see how I would handle it a little warmer today since the LA marathon does not start until 7:20 AM at the end of May. BAD IDEA!!! They need to change it to 6 AM but WHATEVER!!!! I did pretty well, wore a hat and stopped about every 2 miles for water. My mouth would get a little dry waiting for the next water fountain.

I also decided to pick up the pace every 3rd mile. Don't know why it was just kind of a fun game to pass the time.

Splits 8:50, 8:52,8:14,8:54,8:35,8:02,8:51,8:58,7:52,8:38,8:59,8:03 I really thought my last mile would be the fastest but I was running close to the pier where all the action is and had to dart in and out of people and bikes.

GREAT JOB!!! I am so jealous of your running conditions (although TOO hot is never good).

Guess what?? We have snow AGAIN!
