I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. 11, 9, 6 and 2. I have been married to my guy for 13 years. He is great and so supportive of my running life. He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

Got up this morning and my throat was so swollen I could barely drink water. I still feel like a wimp for not running. Why can't I just let it go?

My throat is feeling better this afternoon. Hopefully everything is okay.

You feel like a wimp for not running when you are sick? C'mon - admit you have a problem......

Hydrate. Eat sugar cookies.

Say hi to my friend Bobby Jay when you see him. He lives in Hunnington Beach so I'm sure you'll run into him. You'll probably see him on the beach lifting kettle balls.

Yes, I know I have a problem. Don't we all?

I had sugar cookies from Kneaders this week they were so good!

I really wish I had longer to get to know you Maurine!! Thank goodness for the internet.

Burt, I will be watching for Bobby Jay! What is a Kettle ball?

Honey, have you went and had a throat culture (sp?). I sure hope you don't have something serious. The part about your throat being so swollen that you can't drink has me concerned. I think you should go get checked! So, onto a brighter not. You live in Huntington Beach? I know I should know this. My friend just called me yesterday and is moving there the end of this month. I really want to come out and see her in a month or so. I wonder how close she will be to you. Wouldn't that be cool to meet up? You could even take me on one of your fun running routes!! I am getting a head of myself. Just getting excited. We will have to see how it works out. Now, GET BETTER GIRL!! Really, you are starting to concern me.

I think they're actually kettlebells. I got confused because of a funny conversation we had on Montelepsy's blog. They are basically round shaped iron balls with a handle. They're all the rage right now. LOL.

Kellie, My throat is way better today. I wonder if it was a combo of a cold mixed with changing climates and doing a hill workout with the crazy BBK's.

Yes Yes Yes!!! Does your friend know where she is moving to yet?

Britta, so good to run with ya! Im so jealous of your weather and being able to run on the beach or along the boardwalk. Keep up the good work.
