He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

Dang it was windy today. I used my husbands ipod because mine is broken and it was interesting. His music went from Eminem to Techno to Josh Groban to Classical. Strange combinations.

Great job! The question is, did you slow down to Josh Groban???

From britta on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 23:02:40

Of course I slowed. It was so hard to keep a steady pace because the rythms were all over the place.

From Kelli on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 23:04:55

Ya know, with all of my music free runs getting ready for St George, I have noticed that I do not really pay attention to the music so much anymore. BUT, when the going gets rough, I switch through songs like a crazy woman to find one to motivate me!!!

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:20:42

Britta, that is so funny because I have so been there. Well, kind of: Ryan's ipod if stacked full of Kenny Chesney (sp?), Lionel Richie, and The Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Your entry made me laugh.

Btw, nice job on your run! :)

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:22:30

You can SO NOT run to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!!!

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:23:05

BELIEVE ME ... I KNOW!!!!

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:24:55

Actually, I believe I would seriously question Lionel Richie. Who does he think he is, an old man???

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:28:25

Kelli,

I am being 100% truthful when I tell you that Ryan wore a Lionel Richie t-shirt today!! NO JOKE!!

Can you talk to him????

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:32:12

Oh my. If he is wearing a shirt, I think there is absolutely NO HOPE!!!! Hey, I have a quote for you to tell Ryan: Cross-country. Finally a good use for golf courses.

Seriously, we ran on a golf course once and i stepped on those darn triangular looking thingies and twisted my ankle. Golf courses are dangerous places!

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:37:19

I think you are right ... he past the point of no return a long time ago. (The t-shirt is from the Tina Turner/Lionel Richie concert 7 or so years ago ... he still wears it!! He had to see Lionel, we didn't even stay for Tina.)

I love to golf though!! Only problem is that I have added a few strokes to my game since I started running. Need to get out more often I guess!! :)

From britta on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:44:22

I have a hard time with road trips because my husband has to bring ALL the Neil Diamond CD's. I don't mind Neil, just don't like to listen to him for 8 hours!!!

I don't think I have ever even heard a Lionel Richie song.

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:47:46

Go listen to that song!!! You have to have heard that one!!!

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:47:58

Hey ... yes ... Ryan has Neil on his ipod as well!!! Too funny!

How old is your hubby? Any chance him and Ryan hung out at some point!!??

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:49:53

WOW, they are not acting their age at all!

I grew up listening to Neil Diamond. My mom LOVES him!

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:50:45

Kelli,

You are so stinkin' awesome!! Ryan heard the Lionel song from the other room and came running in to see his man!! I'm laughing hysterically!!!

"Hello ... is it me you're looking for." He was seriously LOVING the youtube video!! Seriously loving it!!

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:51:43

I think that is why Ryan likes Neil as well ... he remembers listening to him in the car on "road trips."

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:52:40

OH MY!!! Lionel is a stalker in that video---scary! But I am glad I made Ryan smile.

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:53:57

Scott likes The PIANO MAN. Why can't I think of his name right now? Anyway, that is what he tries to play in the car, I get sick of it!

I am more of an ABBA fan.

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:54:22

Good stuff!!

(btw ... he laughed at your quote of the day as well)

Britta, where are you??? You need to be in on this conversation!!

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:55:29

Kelli, Ryan says it's Billy Joel. Does that sound right!!

I love ABBA as well.

Did you like Mamma Mia???

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:59:16

Billy Joel---there ya go! Why couldn't I think of that? Tired maybe?

I HAVE NOT seen Mamma Mia. We go to the movies at least 3 times a month, but Scott would not go to that one so I missed it. I will have to rent it. I heard it was really good! I was raised on ABBA and Alabama and The Oak Ridge Boys. Love them all---but that makes me cool, not old!

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 01:05:06

You are WAY COOL!!

Alright ... brushing my teeth and going to bed now. Looks like Britta left a while ago!! :)

This discussion is not over!! :)

Laters.

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 01:07:10

Oh, I was just waiting for your reply so that I could say, "Why do you stay up so late? I am going to bed!" You beat me to it. No fair, you beat me in everything!

I was just finishing some last thoughts on my YW lesson on Dating. That should be fun!

Since you are reading this tomorrow---hope you slept well!

From britta on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 11:51:09

Man, I sure missed a lot.

Okay I have heard that song. The video...hillarious!

Oak Ridge boys and "Mormon Rap" is what we use to listen to on road trips as kids. Love the Oak Ridge boys, and I agree it makes us cool not old.

Teena, My husband Jon is 32, his dad use to bring Neil along while he was growing up so that is where he gets it from.

Kelli, We had the Dating lesson last week. The girls were so funny, I had to correct them several times that "No it is not okay to just live on LOVE, Marriage takes a lot more than just love."

Wow I got married at 19 and some of those girls are so close to 19. I must have been WAY more mature. Have fun!!!

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 15:24:52

Oh my goodness, that lesson was torture. I have this one YW that scares me (I secretly hope she does not show when I teach). She demanded I tell her why necking and petting were bad (after I had to describe to her what they were----painful!) She just kept saying she did not see what the problem was. I was so scared to read some of the quotes, but the other girls were so funny about it---they lightened it up a little.

I got married at 19, too. So I try to keep that quiet when I teach YW!!

From britta on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 18:21:54

That is so funny about the one girl. So, we have a member of our presidency that is actually like your girl. The president always has to make sure she never teaches without her or myself there, just in case we need to correct anything being taught. YIKES!!!

I love young womens the girls are great. Even the crazy ones!!!

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 22:06:42

We need to run to have a long discussion about YW's. I am getting burnt out and need some positive motivation! PLus, our ward has ISSUES like you would not believe! It is getting tiresome, but I want to stay becasue one of those YW is my child!!

I pm'd you the group info for this coming week!

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 22:08:18

Which stake are you in, BTW?

From britta on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 10:49:24

This is sad but I THINK our stake is called the Rose Canyon Stake. Which are you in?
