I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. 11, 9, 6 and 2. I have been married to my guy for 13 years. He is great and so supportive of my running life. He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

Got on my rode bike this morning. FROSTBITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My toes hurt so bad!!! I guess when you go 3x as fast as when you run the air is a lot more cold. The sad thing is I was really prepared with all of my warmest clothing. I am not sure what else I can do. Everything was warm except my fingers and toes!!!!!

Although riding is fun it does not give me the same workout or high a run does. I really hope I can run next week.

Britta,

Hope your fingers and toes have unthawed. (I hate the unthawing feeling though ... hurts big time.)

Nice job getting in a workout.

Is your hip behaving better today?

From Cal on Fri, Dec 05, 2008 at 12:04:05

Britta, did you make it to the Dr?

(doesnt "unthaw" = freeze?)

From Teena on Fri, Dec 05, 2008 at 12:06:39

Cal,

You're such a smart aleck!!!

From britta on Fri, Dec 05, 2008 at 15:25:21

Yes my digits have "THAWED". I am going to call the DR. right after I am done responding.

Although, I am not hurting at all unless I am running so I hate to go to the Dr. for nothing. Is this nothing?

It is, I BET, your IT band. Juts keep stretching and come run slow with me. He gave me many tips.

From kellies on Sun, Dec 07, 2008 at 19:28:15

Ouch, I hope that you get all better soon! Way to hang in there and find other things to do while your IT is acting up, I am lazy when it comes to that kind of stuff so I admire you. Keep up the good work!
