Personal:

I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. 11, 9, 6 and 2. I have been married to my guy for 13 years. He is great and so supportive of my running life. He is also very active, mostly weight training and he has run 2 half marathons as well. He is very fast without training too hard. 1:28 Half Marathon!!! I am working on being able to keep up with him. Someday when are kids are older we look forward to training together.

I'm not sure how I feel about the race. In a nut shell I didn't feel great but I didn't feel terrible... just a little off. I had to stop to use the bathroom which is always annoying. I went inro the race knowing I wasn't prepared to run a PR but I did want to run strong and feel good. I ran just OK. The last 4 miles were torcher!! I had to talk myself through every step. I wanted to walk so bad but didn't so I guess that is a bonus. This was good mental preparation for the marathon.

 Splits 8:38, 8:20, 8:03, 8:27, 8:20, 7:53, 7:54, 8:10, 8:22, 8:44, 9:17, 8:40, 9:07

I stopped to go to the bathroom around mile 5.5 so you can see for  2-3 miles afterwards I was trying to make up some time but then I just burned out at the end. Oh well... live and learn.

I hope you didn't burn out at the end while you were using the bathroom. That would have been torcher. And torture. But great race. Live and learn. Live and learn.
